About SF Tech Trek Alumnae Group (TTAG)
The San Francisco Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) in 2019 launched a program named Tech Trek Alumnae Group (TTAG, tee tag) to support Tech Trek Alumnae in their pursuit of STEM disciplines and careers throughout high school, college and beyond. In addition to creating a community of like-minded Tech Trek Alumnae, TTAG organizes college readiness workshops, STEM career panels, and events tailored to TTAG’s goals and interests (visits to hands-on science museums, science classes etc.). Another perk of TTAG is gaining access to monthly newsletters where STEM-focused Bay Area side workshops, classes, internships, and more are shared! Some members of TTAG assist in making these newsletters.
Finally, in accordance with AAUW’s mission of fostering women’s education and closing the gender gap, AAUW-SF has recently established the TTAG scholarship (see below).

TTAG Member Testimonials
“TTAG has truly brought together a supportive community of like-minded individuals. TTAG has consistently brought STEM resources and opportunities to me throughout high school — opportunities to bring out creativity and learn new skills. I had an excellent experience working on San Francisco’s AAUW branch website this summer! I will continue engaging in more events/opportunities through TTAG in the future!”
– Sonia L. (TTAG Member/Tech Trek Alumna)
“Joining TTAG after my Tech Trek experience in 2019 has granted me new opportunities and has made me more involved and interested in the STEM world. In my short time as a tech trek alumnae, I have volunteered at STEM events AAUW participates in and taken part in a TTAG internship this summer which has allowed me to hone and advance my social and digital skills.”
– Azelea A. (TTAG Member/Tech Trek Alumna)
